Spotpak TV Avail Manager is a Windows application that streamlines the spot media workflow by providing buyers and sellers a quick and easy way to exchange electronic avails. The processing of electronic avails using TV Avail Manager can save buyers considerable time and effort. Buyers request avails electronically, receive the avails from stations or reps electronically, and transfer them directly into Spotpak, eliminating the need to re-key information.
Features and Benefits
Copy Seller Comments to Buyer Comments
Buyers can copy all the seller comments to their buyer comments at once. Previously, comments could be copied one program at a time.
Eliminate Manual Entry of Avail Details
Buyers receive avails electronically, eliminating input errors and saving paper and time.
Send and Receive More Current Programming Information
Fast electronic exchange of avails results in up-to-the-minute programming information uploaded to the Buyer's Worksheet.
Export from Many Proposal Systems
Sellers can export avails from the DDS proposal system as well as other XML-enabled proposal systems. Buyers can receive avails from a station or rep regardless of whether the seller is a DDS client.
Send Program, Market or Station-specific Comments
Sellers can include comments for buyers to review.
Send Multiple Station Avails
TV Avail Manager can handle files from sellers who represent multiple stations.
Conditions of Sale
Buyers can display and upload the conditions of sale (COS) attached to avails. Conditions of sale are comments sent by the rep to inform the buyer of criteria that must be met for the sale to occur. The DDS system does not validate these comments.
Seven Times to Request Electronic Avails
The processing of electronic avails using TV Avail Manager is likely to save you considerable time and effort. There are seven specific cases in which electronic avails are especially useful:
Beginning of a New Year or Quarter
During times when there are significant changes in programming you may want to re-evaluate your estimates. You can request electronic avails where available and upload them to NWS. For stations that do not submit electronic avails you can campaign copy by station and make the necessary adjustments to work records.
New Daypart
You may want to evaluate or schedule a daypart that has not been previously used for a certain client. Request an electronic avail for the station but only upload to NWS programs for the new daypart. These may be uploaded to an existing or new campaign. If programs for the new daypart are uploaded to a new campaign, all other programming can be copied from another campaign.
Dayparts that Change Often
If you work with dayparts such as Prime, Sports or Specials, request an electronic avail and upload it to a separate campaign. You can then link this campaign to one that contains all your existing data.
New Market or Station
For markets or stations that you have not previously purchased, request full electronic avails of programming. You can then upload the programs and dayparts of your choice.
Different Demographics
A good time to update your programming is when your demographic categories change. An electronic avail will provide you with the most up-to-date programming. When you upload this avail, the effect will be the same as if you performed a campaign copy.
Change in Station Affiliation
A change in station affiliation is likely to result in programming changes. Capture these changes quickly and easily by requesting and uploading an electronic avail.
Your Orders Are Not Clearing Because of Outdated Programming
Requesting an electronic avail at the beginning of the process is one way to compare your existing programming for a station to their current programming. You can perform a campaign copy and then upload selected new programs or dayparts. You will then be able to compare different programs for the same time periods in NWS. |
