Get Internet Explorer

Get Acrobat Reader

This Web site has been designed to work best with Microsoft® Internet Explorer® 4 running under Windows 95, and has been tested with most other common browsers and platforms.

You may want to keep in mind the following:

Viewing/Printing Adobe® Acrobat® files: Much of DDS Product documentation is in Acrobat (.pdf) format. In order to work with these files you'll need to download and install the Acrobat Reader. The Acrobat Reader allows you to view, print and search (version 4 only) Acrobat documents from within your Web browser.

Also keep in mind:
  • Acrobat files are generally better suited for printing than typical Web documents. In most cases the printed versions of Acrobat files are identical to the printed materials DDS ships to its customers.
  • Acrobat versions of large manuals may take some time to download if you are connected via a modem. You may wish to download the entire document and view locally rather than trying to view directly in the browser. Just right-click the attachment (Option-click for Macintosh) and save the file to your hard disk or local network.

Printing from the browser: If the document does not have an Acrobat version, you may wish to hide your headers and footers when you print.
  • In Explorer 4/Win95, select File>Page Setup and cut the text from the Header and Footer boxes.
  • In Netscape 4/Win95, select File>Page Setup and deselect the appropriate boxes.

Report samples online (in the System Updates): If an update includes a report sample that appears to be wrapping its lines strangely, try reducing your screen font size.
  • In Explorer 4/Win95, select VIEW>Fonts>Smaller.
  • In Netscape 4/Win95, select VIEW>Decrease Font.
