| Earlier this year, DDS initiated a research project to learn how DDS clients currently order, bill, pay, verify and report interactive buys. The project involved 13 clients, representing $1 billion in interactive buying in 2005.
While the study showed the interactive buying marketplace is still fluid and changing, it also indicated that many clients are experiencing the same problems in their workflows.
DDS is releasing new features in AdBuyer, PC Printpak and Script, aimed at simplifying the work of interactive planners and client accounting personnel. The new AdBuyer and PC Printpak features facilitate storing and billing on planned costs, storing and reporting on authorized costs, and tracking requests for revised invoices from vendors. AdBuyer also provides more interactive data using standard or custom columns, which will be available for upload to the DDS system using Script. The new functionality will be released in the next few weeks.
“We expect these new features to significantly reduce manual effort for buyers, billers, and finance departments,” says Kelly Petersen, DDS product director in charge of interactive media. | |
